Fishing is a way of life in Cornwall, and the Cornish fishing fleet is renowned for landing sustainably caught fish of the very highest quality to the daily quayside markets of Newlyn and Looe.
1. Fish Market
4.00 am Newyln Harbour, and the fishing trawlers have finished unloading the hundreds of red boxes containing their catch. Our ‘in house’ buyers bid on the freshest of the day’s landings at the quayside auction.
2. Fish Factory
The fish is taken to our purpose built premises, filleted and frozen within hours, maximising freshness and locking in their delicate flavour. Eight fine fillets make the grade from this ten-year-old cod.
