Plain Grilled Kippers with a mixed bean salad


 

Ready in: 20 minutes

Use 1 Good Taste Foods Oak-Smoked Cornish Kipper per person. Alternatively use our Manx Kippers.

For the salads:

A mixture of green beans, soy, french, broad or runner beans

Chopped mint

1. Boil or steam the beans until just cooked. Drain and run under cold water to cool immediately.

2. Lightly grill the kippers for a couple of minutes each side until done.

3. While the Kippers are cooking, add a french or italian dressing to the beans and a handful of freshly chopped mint.

4. Remove the kippers and serve with a twist of lemon, brown bread and butter and the cold bean salad.
