Grilled Mackerel with Cumin

The arrissa in this recipe is a spicy paste, made from red chilli peppers and garlic, seasoned with coriander, caraway and salt. If unavailable, substitute with cayenne pepper or paprika.

Make 2 diagonal cuts in each side of each fish. Put the arrissa into a large shallow bowl with the oil, garlic, cumin and salt.

Mix together well and marinate the mackerel in it for 15 minutes.

Grill the fish for 7-8 minutes on each side, either on a barbeque or under a preheated grill

Serve hot with the lemon
